The difficulty of navigating such landscapes has historically impeded the stable supply of electricity to households and industries. However, GreenSwitch is revolutionizing this state of affairs by constructing a primary substation in Winklern (110/22 kV), set for completion by the end of 2025. This strategic development is expected to significantly enhance supply security for critical industries and end-users in Western Carinthia, ensuring a constant and reliable energy flow.

Moreover, another substantial development is in motion with the construction of a substation in Velden. These advancements in Carinthia are accompanied by the modernization of more than 20 secondary substations equipped with intelligent devices, facilitating better demand management systems and grid controllability. These upgrades are crucial for meeting the evolving needs of consumers and enabling the seamless adoption of home renewable energy solutions, such as photovoltaic panels, electric heating systems, and e-mobility solutions.
