Kinetic Engineering Ltd. is taking a bold step forward by re-entering the competitive two-wheeler market with a renewed focus on electric mobility. The launch of the electric version of the iconic Kinetic DX scooter reflects a noteworthy shift in its strategic direction. Under the auspices of its subsidiary, Kinetic Watts and Volts Ltd., the company aims to marry the nostalgia of its classic design with cutting-edge EV technology. This relaunch positions Kinetic Engineering to capitalize on the growing demand for sustainable urban transportation solutions. With prices ranging from ₹1,11,499 to ₹1,17,499, the DX comes in standard and advanced variants, illustrating Kinetic’s commitment to accessibility and innovation. Initial bookings, set at 35,000 units, can be made online for a fee of ₹1,000, indicating a confident re-entry into the market.

Transformation through Technology

The modern iteration of the DX scooter is equipped with a powerful 2.6 kWh LFP battery developed by Range-X, delivering a robust performance and an efficient range of up to 116 km per charge. With its capability to reach speeds of up to 90 km/h, the scooter is designed for both urban commutes and longer journeys. Offered in two models, the DX and DX+, it provides varying degrees of technological enhancements to cater to a broad spectrum of consumer needs. Featuring a sturdy metal frame and 37 liters of under-seat storage, the scooter complements its powerful engine with convenience-oriented features, meeting the requirements of contemporary riders. Regenerative braking and hill-hold assist integrate seamlessly with its advanced ride modes, enabling users to optimize performance and energy efficiency.
