Targeted at developing cutting-edge chips essential for power electronics, the investment earmarks Newcastle and Strathclyde as key players. They offer open-access facilities to both researchers and businesses, catalyzing the synthesis of advanced semiconductors.

By refining semiconductor technology, the initiative zeroes in on significant reductions in CO2 emissions.
