US utility-scale solar and energy storage developer Savion LLC has placed an order with thin-film solar manufacturer First Solar Inc (NASDAQ:FSLR) for 2.6 GW DC of its Series 7 modules.
The photovoltaic (PV) equipment is planned to be delivered between 2025 and 2027, Savion said on Tuesday without giving details about the projects they will be used for.
First Solar will produce the modules for Savion at its new sites in Ohio and Alabama.
