Walmart has announced plans to build its own electric vehicle fast-charging network at thousands of its and Sam’s Club locations by 2030.
The firm plans to build upon its current 1,300 EV fast-charging stations already available at more than 280 U.S. facilities. In a recent blog post, the company stated that it is uniquely positioned to deliver a convenient charging option to boost e-mobility adoption in rural, suburban or urban areas.
In addition, this network can offer customers and members the chance to pick up essentials for their families or grab a bite to eat while they charge. The brand also aims to maintain its Every Day Low Price motto for charging service to ease transportation costs.
