The Governor of the US state of Maine, Janet Mills, on Thursday signed into law new legislation that is vital for the construction of a 1,200-MW renewable power line in New England.
LS Power Grid Maine, a unit of energy infrastructure developer and operator LS Power, said in a statement today that the passing of Legislative Document 924 (LD 924) marks the first of several approvals it needs in order to proceed with the construction of the Aroostook Renewable Gateway project.
