Nikola secures found to establish six new hydrogen stations

Nikola Corporation announced that the California Transportation Commission (CTC) has awarded both Nikola and sponsor California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), a $41.9 million grant to build six heavy-duty hydrogen refueling stations (HRS) across Southern California.

Granted under the Trade Corridor Enhancement Program (TCEP), the project furthers Caltrans’ strategy to support the adoption of zero-emission freight technology across the state. These six HRS will be located throughout the South Coast Air Quality Management District, San Diego County Air Pollution Control District, and Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District.
