Ohio’s two nuclear power plants help keep electricity prices low, contribute to the local economy and provide thousands of jobs, a new study finds. The report comes as state lawmakers begin a series of hearings on proposed zero-emission energy portfolio legislation, following similar actions taken in other states to recognize the clean-air benefits of nuclear energy.
