ADNOC has begun construction on the Middle East’s first high-speed hydrogen refueling station (HRS). The site is currently being built in Masdar City and is expected to create clean hydrogen from water using an electrolyser powered by clean grid electricity.
The mobility company will partner with Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) and Al-Futtaim Motors to test the facility using a fleet of clean hydrogen-powered vehicles.
ADNOC Distribution is set to operate the station once it is completed later this year. A second station is scheduled to be built in Dubai Golf City to be fitted with a conventional hydrogen fueling system.
