SK to explore renewable potential in new partnership

SK Group has announced a new partnership to explore collaboration in hydrogen, renewable energy and green mobility, in an effort to boost green energy transition in South Korea. The conglomerate will partner with Gentari, a subsidiary of Malaysia’s Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas).

According to a report by the Yonhap news agency, both companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for comprehensive cooperation in the clean energy sector. The agreement encompasses the three affiliates of SK: SK Materials Inc., SK Ecoplant Co. and SK Signet Inc. The three firms focus on advanced materials production, construction and recycling, and electric vehicle charging, respectively.
