Rystad Energy has predicted US oil production to grow so fast that an all-time high of 10 million bpd could be reached before 2018. In a monthly report on latest oil market trends, Rystad’s analysts show US oil production growing at 95 kbbld per month during 2017.
The increase stems from shale drilling, as the more modest growth from Gulf of Mexico deepwater fields is offsetting declines from other US conventional oilfields.
