Alec Baldwin portrayed Donald Trump on last week’s Saturday Night Live as shocked to realize the promises he made, such as restoring coal jobs.
While Mr. Baldwin is hardly the most knowledgeable person about energy, it must be said that he was correct in the suggestion that the magnitude of the challenge is rather daunting. (Or rather the writers deserve the kudos.) Although we nerds love SNL, we are not their target audience, so it is hardly surprising that they made no attempt to quantify the problem. I will now rectify that shortcoming (call me, Lorne Michaels).
