Earlier this year, President Trump gave a speech to energy workers in Louisiana, where he shared his belief that wind power is unreliable:
“When the wind doesn’t blow you don’t watch television that night. Your wife says, ‘what the hell did you get me into with this Green New Deal, Charlie?'”
It’s not the first time the U.S. president has expressed this view. He used the same line, almost word for word, at the National Republican Congressional Committee’s annual spring dinner in April. Clearly, Trump (or someone close to him in the White House) has an agenda against wind power.
