New Jersey floating solar project aims to be nation’s largest

Construction is underway on an 8.9 MW floating bifacial solar array at a water treatment facility in New Jersey.

NJR Clean Energy Ventures, a unit of New Jersey Resources, claims the project will be the largest floating solar array in the U.S. once it’s completed.

Located in Millburn, New Jersey, the floating solar array is expected to generate 95% of the annual power needs at New Jersey American Water’s Canoe Brook Water Treatment Plant through a power purchase agreement with NJR CEV.
