Amazon plans another 2.7 GW of renewable energy capacity worldwide

Amazon said it plans to add 2.7 GW of capacity across 71 new renewable energy projects worldwide, including solar farms in Brazil, India and Poland.

Once in service, the company’s global renewable energy portfolio is expected to generate 50,000 GWh of energy.

Adam Selipsky, CEO of Amazon Web Services, said in a statement that the company aims to reach 100% renewable energy across its entire business by 2025.
