USA: Clean Energy to add hydrogen station for bus fleet in Southern California

Clean Energy Fuels Corp., a leading provider of renewable natural gas (RNG) in North America, has won a solicitation to design, construct, and maintain a hydrogen station and supply liquid hydrogen fuel in Pomona city, Los Angeles county, Southern California.

The station will serve Foothill Transit, a bus service that averages 14 million rides a year. Foothill Transit has placed an initial order for 20 fuel cell buses, and the station is designed to support many more, according to Clean Energy.

The contract is valued at more than $13 million, and will be funded using assistance from the Federal Transportation Agency.
