While last week’s Offshore Wind Executive Summit was formulated in order to illuminate the offshore wind business opportunities that offshore oil and gas supply chain companies could take advantage of, it was clear during the conference that the US offshore oil and gas companies have a lot to teach offshore wind.
First, according to Randall Luthi, president of the National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA), on the public relations front, offshore oil and gas has a lot of experience dealing with opposition and educating the public about the importance of the service it is providing.
