The future of European solar manufacturers hangs in the balance this summer, with two separate but overlapping policies on Europe-China climate policy under review by delegations from the EU and China.
Representatives from both sides will meet in Brussels this week to try and resolve disagreements over China’s status as a “developing” country in the Paris climate agreement. This matter of status is a significant one because it could require partner countries, like Germany, to transfer valuable technology to China.
